A label that stays put even after a night in the fridge

Product Label Design

The first batch of jam or cream is ready, the label designed in Canva looks great on screen, so it goes to print. A week in the fridge or the bathroom later, the corner starts curling, and a customer writes in that they can't find the ingredients or the weight on the packaging.

The first batch of jam or cream is ready, the label designed in Canva looks great on screen, so it goes to print. A week in the fridge or the bathroom later, the corner starts curling, and a customer writes in that they can't find the ingredients or the weight on the packaging.

Good looks without knowledge of the material and product requirements ends in reprinting the entire batch. Someone designed a pretty picture, but nobody checked whether the paper survives fridge moisture, whether the die-cut fits the jar's shape, or whether there's room for the information the law requires. The cost only surfaces after the whole run is printed, not at the design stage.

Product label design combines the graphic layer with knowledge of where and how that label will actually perform — on what material, under what storage conditions, and with what legally required information.

We choose the material for the conditions the product lives in: self-adhesive paper for dry storage, moisture-resistant film for chilled products, laminate for labels exposed to grease or handling. The die-cut is built for the specific packaging shape, because a round jar needs a different layout than a square bottle. We don't design a label without space for required information — ingredients, allergens, net weight — leaving that for later always wrecks the layout at the last minute.

What you get

  • A label that survives real conditionsIt holds up in the fridge, the freezer, on greasy hands — not just on the designer's desk.
  • A layout with room for every required disclosureYou're not squeezing them in at the last minute and ruining the design, because the space is planned in from the start.
  • A file ready for the printer of your choiceNo explaining formats, bleeds or die-cuts — you send the file and get exactly what you asked.

We don't publish numbered case studies at this stage — at the meeting we show material samples and example labels you can see and touch before deciding what to print yours on.

Scope and pricing

The package covers a graphic design fitted to the packaging shape, a material recommendation matched to the product's storage conditions, a production file with bleeds and die-cut ready for any printer, and — if you sell several flavour or size variants — a consistent colour system across the whole line.

  1. You send us product information — ingredients, packaging shape and dimensions, storage conditions, number of variants.
  2. We choose the material and print technology for those conditions.
  3. We design the label and apply revisions, in the number of rounds agreed in the contract.
  4. We prepare the production file with the die-cut.
  5. If the line has more variants, we extend the system to the remaining flavours or sizes.

You learn the price after sending product information, and it stays fixed for the rest of the project. A label designed without knowledge of material and storage conditions comes back for correction after the first batch — meaning a full reprint, not just a file fix — so getting the material right at the start costs less than an emergency reprint mid-season.

Our guarantees

Production-file accuracy guarantee. Before sending to print we check the file against the specific printer's requirements — bleeds, die-cut, colour profile.

Source files and full rights are yours. The label design and production files are your property from the moment of handover.

The package price is fixed. The amount agreed after the product brief doesn't change while the agreed scope is delivered.

Availability

We deliver label projects on an agreed timeline — if you're planning a sales launch ahead of a season, get in touch early, because design and printer queues stretch out for every producer at once at that time.

Order your label design

Send us your product information: ingredients, packaging shape and dimensions, storage conditions and the number of variants. We'll come back with a material recommendation, a timeline and a firm quote.

What waiting costs you

The later you start a label project before a sales season, the smaller the margin left for corrections before you run out of time for a reprint ahead of the first delivery to customers.

In short

A design fitted to the packaging shape and real storage conditions · material and print technology matched to the product · a five-step process from brief to versions for the whole line · a file checked against the specific printer's requirements · a fixed package price sized to the number of variants.

Frequently asked questions

Will the label leave room for the ingredients and allergens the law requires?

Yes, we plan the layout with space for required information from the start of the design — you should verify the final wording and compliance with current regulations with your own technologist.

What material should I choose for a product stored in a fridge or freezer?

We recommend a film resistant to moisture and low temperatures, chosen based on the storage conditions you give us in the brief.

Can I order several label variants for different flavours at once?

Yes, we design a consistent colour system for the whole line within a single job.

Will the label fit a non-standard jar or bottle shape?

Yes, we build the die-cut for the specific packaging shape you provide at the start.

Does the label design account for barcodes and other trade markings?

Yes, we plan space for them in the layout at the design stage, based on the brief.

What if I change packaging supplier after the label is already designed?

We check whether the new shape and material require a die-cut correction — if so, we adjust the file within the agreed scope.
